Sachin Tendulkar is born on 24 April 1973 in Mumbai, Maharashtra in India. His father’s name is Ramesh Tendulkar who was a well-known Marathi novelist & poet. His mother Rajni Tendulkar Worked in Insurance Industry. Sachin was married to Anjali Tendulkar (doctor) on 24 May 1995. He is an Indian Cricketer widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of Cricket.

Tendulkar started playing cricket at the age of 11 under the watchful eyes of his cricket coach Ramakant Achrekar at shard ashram vidya mandir school. On 11 December 1988 in a first-class match between Mumbai and Gujarat, he scored 100 not out. He became the first batsman in history to cross the 34,000 run aggregate in all formats of cricket on 5 December 2012.

He played his first international match against Pakistan in Karachi in November 1989 at the age of 16 years. In 2012 he became the first player to score 100 international centuries while playing against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup in Dhaka. He was also awarded the Arjuna award (1994) Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna (1997) Padma Shri (1999) Padma Vibhushan (2008) Bharat Ratna (2013). He was retired on 16 November 2013 at the age of 37. He is also known as the first god of cricket.
