Jaipur is named “The Pink City of India”. It is located in Rajasthan and also the capital and largest city of it. It was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II (king of Amir) on 18th November.
Rajasthani is the major mother tong spoken here. Jaipur is a city of attractiveness around lakhs of tourists from India and from abroad visits Jaipur per year. Jantar Mantar in Jaipur is built by Sawai Jai Singh, a Rajput ruler. It is one of the greatest World Heritage sites and there is a group of architectural astronomical instruments.
Hawa Mahal is one of the popular places in Jaipur. It is also known as the landmark of Jaipur as well as Place Of Winds. It was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh to permit the ladies of the royal family to see the parade of the city.
One of the oldest fort built near Jaipur is The Amer Fort by Raja Man Singh in 1592. It is also one of the most popular forts of Rajasthan made up of red sandstone and marbles. Also, there are many forts in Jaipur to be visited such as Sheesh Mahal, Diwan-i-Aam and Sukh Mahal.
