Travel UTTARAKHAND: Uttarakhand is also known as ‘Land of the Gods’ or ‘Devbhoomi’ is one of the best with the best scenic views, adventures, and many more. Nowadays tourism has become one of the best sources of income for people living there as this place attracts lakhs of tourists per year. Uttarakhand is also listed for the natural surrounding of the Himalayas.

Best places to travel UTTARAKHAND:

1. Nanital –  Due to its boating site Nanital attracts lakhs of visitors. Most famous food waste products are found here such as jams, squashes, etc. The finest time to visit Nainital is from (March to June) during the summer/spring season. Naini peak (Cheena Peak), Nainital Zoo, Naina Devi Temple, Naini Lake, Snow view point, Hanuman Garhi and Tiffin Top are the best location of Nanital. If anyone visits Nanital must-visit Jim Corbett National Park which is one of the oldest national parks in India.

2. Mussoorie – also known as “Queen of Hills”, Mussoorie is one of the most famous places in the UK. Mussoorie is not only famous for its natural environment but it has also been developed into an advanced centre of education. Lal Bahadur Shastri Gandhi national academy of administration is one of the best academics where IAS and IPS officers are trained in Mussoorie. For foodies, the most tempting variety of Maggi is found in Mussoorie. Jwalaji Temple, Surkanda Devi Temple, Nag Devta Temple and Radha Krishna Mandir are well-known temples of Mussoorie.

3. Rishikesh – Popular for spiritual importance Rishikesh marks the beginning of Char Dham Yatra (Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath). There is a number of yoga ashrams in Rishikesh. It is surrounded by the Himalayas and is situated on the holy river Ganga. The Ram Jhula and the Lakshman Jhula are found in Rishikesh. Many adventure activities can also be enjoyed in Rishikesh such as water rafting and bungee jumping, rock climbing, rappelling, etc. The UP Handloom, Garhwal wool and khadi shop are the shopping sites at Rishikesh which offers the best authentic fabric and woolen items at a reasonable price.

4. Kedarnath –  Being a part of the Chota Char Dham pilgrimage, Kedarnath is one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites. This place is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva. Triyoginarayan Temple, Gauri Kund, Vasuki Tal are the best location near Kedarnath where you can do trekking, camping, visit a waterfall en route and Himalayan ranges, can take Pony rides, etc.  April to June is the finest time to visit Kedarnath. The temple at Kedarnath enshrining the Jyotirlingam of Shiva opens only 6 months a year (April-November) when the sun enters the zodiac sign of Aries and it is closed when the sun enters Scorpio. Considered one of the holiest temples for Lord Shiva, pilgrims devotedly visit this mountainous temple every year. While the main Kedarnath temple is normally closed during Mahashivratri celebrations, the Badri-Kedar festival is celebrated over a week in June every year.
